"Longanus" is a historical archetype, like an antique bar anchor.

The historical bar anchor absorbed the tensile forces that were behind the wall in the building. Such a wall anchor is the connection between two elements: the beam to be connected to the wall and the rafter anchor, as a connection of the wall to the beam running in the depth of the building.
In the past, these ornaments were threaded to the supporting oak beams and placed outside on the masonry.

Today, these anchors serve as decorative ornaments for a stylish loosening of the masonry - as a link between wall decoration and function!
Made of cast iron, this wall anchor has a lattice patina. After polishing the surface, you can paint the anchor with standard paint.
